Last year, I had planned to travel around Europe with my grandparents, including attending Paris Fashion Week together, but unfortunately we weren’t able to make it happen. This year, one year later, we finally did.

After spending a few days in Normandy, I met my grandparents in Paris, and the next day we headed to Milan.
In Milan, I had another reunion — this time with an Italian friend from the Rafa Nadal Academy who lives there and left RNA at the end of this school year.

We enjoyed lunch together and caught up before he begins his next chapter. He will continue playing tennis in the United States for his final year, and I believe we’ll see each other again soon — on a tennis court somewhere, too.

We spent a few days in Milan enjoying some incredible Italian food before traveling by train to Venice. After Venice, we returned to Paris.

Back in Paris, we had the opportunity to enjoy some fashion shows, and I also went shopping with my grandparents, who have spent many years working professionally in fashion buying.

Traveling through Europe with them and experiencing a world that is very different from my everyday life of tennis and school made this trip even more special.

I’m very happy that the journey we couldn’t make last year finally became a reality. It was a special way to begin my long summer vacation.
