After the Rain: Embracing the Rainbow’s Promise

Go With The Rainbow

The rainbow in this photo was seen by the entire family from our home on February 10, 2024. My father rushed into the living room to tell everyone that a rainbow had appeared.

The belief that seeing a rainbow brings good things and makes wishes come true inspires me to look for positivity in the following days.

Now, let me share what happened after we all saw this rainbow.

First, my father’s case:
He had been searching for a guitar since last year. Every time he got some information, he would go to various music stores to play and check if it was worth it for him.
Among several guitars, he found the one he liked the most, but the day he decided to get it at the end of 2023, it had just been sold. He said he didn’t need another one unless he found a guitar that surpassed it.

Some time passed, and on February 9th (the day before seeing the rainbow), he found the guitar he had been looking for.

‘All that’s left is to play it and check the sound and feel,’ he said, and right after seeing the rainbow, he went to the music store.

That night, he came back home with the guitar, looking satisfied. He hasn’t stopped playing it since. Haha.

My mother’s case:
On February 11th (Sunday), my mother was driving me to a tennis match.
On the way, we found a cat crouching on the road.
Since it was a road used by other cars, we decided it was dangerous to leave it there. I walked to the match venue from there, and my mother took the cat home in her car.
The cat was in a terrible state, barely able to walk and seemed very old.
Even if it was the worst-case scenario, we were prepared to let it spend its last moments in a warm room, inside a soft blanket.
We hoped it could hold on until Monday morning so we could take it to the vet first thing.

The next morning, the old cat was still breathing.
We immediately took it to the vet for an examination.
After a blood test, it was decided that the best course of action was to hospitalize it with an IV drip.

Four days later, her condition gradually improved, and she was able to leave the hospital safely.
She (the cat) was an old lady.

Now, she walks slowly but can sleep peacefully on our laps.
She’s the third former stray cat in our family.
