On the day of my hometown’s fireworks festival, I shared a special evening with friends.

As the evening progressed, a breeze took away the summer heat. The clouds drifted by, revealing a moon approaching fullness, with planes taking off and landing from the nearby airport. And then, there were the beautiful Japanese fireworks.

That night, we stayed up late, talking, and all slept in the same room. For me, who didn’t go to high school to prepare for studying abroad in Spain, it felt like a unique school trip.

Grateful for these special moments in life.
